Bear, white deer, spirits 09

This painting is 39 inches by 25 inches. Made with mixed medium paint on canvas. This painting depicts a blue bear with it's spirit animal, the rare albino deer, a small number live protected in an animal reservation in upstate New York. The white deer are a sacred totem animal to many First Nation people. In this painting, the deer ponders the sacred fire, it's luminescent spirit talks to the deer and is reflected in his eyes, as the smoke and air whirls around him. The three metallic orbs floating into the air are what many spiritualists believe to be the embodiment of angels.
